Kate Barnes is the master of Cross Creek, and her fresh work has long had a wide following in North Central Florida. Her home is across the street from legendary writer Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings (author of "The Yearling" and "Cross Creek" among other award-winning books). Indeed, Kate's most popular painting and sketching subject is Rawlings' home and property. But Kate's other equally important subject comes from her long stays and visits to Japan. The influence of eastern graphic techniques and regional subject matter makes for a unique look. We're very honored to have Kate with us!
